JAMMU, Mar 8: Rangshala Sansthan staged hindi play “Budhapa”-The old age- written and directed by Umesh Singh in the weekend theatre series at RTGS Studio, Jammu, today.
The play as its name is based on the old age problems being faced by the parents and the behaviour of their children towards them. The plot of the play revolves around a retired teacher Shobha Ram who has taught the moral values of life, priority to parents especially in their old age by children to both his son and daughter.
At this stage Shobha Ram realizes that daughters are more responsible than boys as his son Rahul always demands for luxurious things which he can not fulfill as he have limited source of income but his daughter at the same time demands nothing and always busy in her studies and other household jobs.
Inspite of his father’s advise Rahul indulges in bad society and one day is caught by the cops.
Now Rahul realizes his fault, as bad society gives nothing but only insult. He promises his father that in future he will not repeat any such kind of mistake and said sorry to his sister also who was caring him like mother.
Audience present on the occasion praised the theme of the play and also the acting potential of the actors. Artists who were the part of todays production were Umesh Singh, Tarun Sharma, Nisha Bhatti, Gautam Singh, Nikhil and Abhishek Singh. Over all production incharge was Mohd Yasir, Costumes was designed by Sunita K Thakur, make-up by Nikita while props were by Siddharth Singh.
