Hindi resounds on second day of Poetry Festival at JKAACL

JAMMU, Dec 22: The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) successfully organised a day dedicated to the Hindi language during the 07-Day Poetry Festival at JKAACL premises in Jammu.
The Poetry Festival intends to accommodate more than 150 poets of seven different languages: Urdu, Hindi, Kashmiri, Dogri, Punjabi, Gojri, and Pahari – with a day dedicated to every single language.
Rajinder Sharma, Mayor Jammu, was the chief guest on this occasion. The event was presided over by Dr Satish Vimal, an acclaimed literary personality of the region. Dr Adarsh Prakash, a celebrated poet, was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL, while addressing the audience, extolled the contribution of the Hindi language to society. He affirmed that JKAACL shall continue to work towards endeavours aimed at the promotion of regional culture.
In his presidential address, Mayor congratulated and applauded the initiative of Bharat Singh, Secretary (JKAACL) and congratulated the efforts of JKAACL for taking up such endeavours.
Professor Raj Kumar, Naresh Kumar Udas, Anila Singh Charak, Maharaj Krishen Bharat, Shyam Bihari Juneja, Pawan Khajuria, Kamaljeet Chaudhary, Arvind Sharma, Sheikh Mohammad Kalyan, Rakesh Abrol, Sonia Upadhayaye, Indu Bhushan Bali, Vijay Sharma, Bindiya Tickoo, Sham Lal Khajuria, Babita Rani, Kalpana Khajuria, Naresh Khajuria, Ram Krishen, Iqbal Khullar, and Tanuj Siyal Anuj graced the event and spellbound the audience with their poetical renditions.
Reeta Khadyal, Assistant Editor (Dogri) at JKAACL, conducted proceedings of the Poetry Festival. Dr Ratan Basotra, Editor (Dogri) cum Incharge Translation and Research Centre (TRC) at JKAACL, expressed vote of thanks.
On Friday, 23rd December 2022, the JKAACL is dedicating the third day of the Poetry festival to the Kashmiri language.
