KATRA, Mar 17: In collaboration with the District Administration, Sangam Theatre Group Reasi staged a Hindi Nukkad Natak (street play) “Aao Sabhi Vote Karen” here at Phawara Chowk Bus stand Katra.
On the occasion, SDM Katra Piyush Dhotra was the chief guest while other officers, young locals, senior citizens and general public witnessed the Nukkad Natak show.
The Natak is based on young voters’ electoral registration and Election promotions. Artist stressed on new voters enrolled in the electoral roll for more and more participation by casting the vote properly in fair and ethical manner in upcoming elections in district Reasi. The play depicts rights of the voter and how to elect the right candidate.
The Artist who performed the Nukkad Natak were Anil Kumar , Nia Chouhan, Raja Aamir Khan, Sarita Bhagat, Aasim Nadeem , Anamika Devi, Priya Kumari and Anu Devi. The play was written & directed by Akram Khan.
SDM Katra Piyush Dhotra and public of Katra appreciated the efforts made by the artists of Sangam Theatre Group Reasi as well as D C Reasi for presenting such type of Nukkad Natak for the awareness of young voters and enrolment of electoral registration.
