Hindu Sanatan Sabha discusses demands

JAMMU, Oct 23: A meeting of Kashmiri Hindu Sanatan Sabha district Kupwara held a meeting at K P Sabha here, today which was presided over by prominent KP leader and renowned writer Dr Kashi Nath Pandita.
The meeting highlighted the various issues of the Kashmiri Pandits from the district especially of the shrines and temples in the area and urged the Government to ensure the protection of Hindu religious places in the district which are cultural monuments and symbols of identity and faith.
Addressing the meeting Dr K N Pandita reiterated the demand regarding passage of shrines and temples bill which he said is a long pending demand of the community.
K K Khosa president K P Sabha and senior BJP leader and Ex MLC Surinder Ambardar also spoke on the occasion. HL Bhat a BJP leader incharge Intellectuals Cell KDD highlighted the role of Pt Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust in organizing the community and its struggle for the passage of shrines and temples bill. He stressed on total coordination among the displaced Pandits from North, Central and South Kashmir to take their fight against inimical forces to logical conclusion.
On the occasion glowing tribute were also paid to outstanding socio religious personality Makhan Lal Pandita (Kaw) of Handwara and his contribution to the society were recalled.
A senior K P leader Moti Lal Malla also spoke on the occasion and stage was managed by Moti Lal Bhat a BJP leader.
