Hindus from Kulgam protest against continuous attacks on minorities

JAMMU, Apr 17: To express their anger against increasing attacks on minority Hindus in Kashmir Valley, the Hindu Baradari hailing from district Kulgam in South Kashmir staged a protest demonstration here at Muthi today.
The protest was organised to express deep anger and anguish against recent killing of one Satesh Kumar Singh by terrorists in Pambai Kakran area in Kulgam..Shouting slogans, protesters expressed deep anger and anguish over continuous attacks on minorities and issuance of threat letters against Pandit community employees working under Prime Minister Employment package in various parts of Kashmir Valley.
The protesters said that security system has completely collapsed and Government has totally failed to safeguard and protect the lives of minorities living in Valley. They said that BJP led Central Government during last nearly eight years of its rule has not been able to rehabilitate the Kashmiri Pandit community. On this occasion, the protesting Kulgam Baradari members demanded job to one of family members of martyr Satesh Kumar Singh besides adequate compensation for his family. They also demanded that Government school in Kakran village be named after martyr Satesh Kumar Singh.
Later two minute silence was also observed as a mark of respect for deceased. The protesters also took a solemn pledge to further intensify the agitation till all demands are met by the Government..
