Hindustan Shiv Sena resents unscheduled power cuts

JAMMU, May 27: J&K unit of Hindustan Shiv Sena president, Vikrant Kapoor has flayed the government for unscheduled power cuts in the scorching heat and said that despite the installation of smart meters, the authorities have failed to provide round the clock electricity to the people of Jammu.
Addressing a press conference here today Kapoor said that there are long power-cuts of 6-7 hours while many areas have low voltage but still hefty electricity bills are delivered to the power consumers.
He also said that long power cuts are adversely affecting education of the children.
“A lot of power is generated in J&K and is sold to other States but the people of J&K remain yearning for the electricity at home,” the Shiv Sena leader maintained adding: “The people of J&K have the first right on the electricity generated in the UT.”
He said if the problem is not solved soon then Hindustan Shiv Sena will start aggressive protests in coming days.
Senior Shiv Sena leaders Baba Ram Kaith, Rohan, Abhishek, Himanshu, Amit, women wing leader Jyoti Devi and others were also present in the press conference.
