JAMMU, Sept 23: Hiranagar Assembly constituency deputation led by Dharam Pal, block president met Dr Mustafa Kamaal, additional general secretary, National Conference (NC) and Rattan Lal Gupta, State vice president and apprised them about the problems being faced by them.
The major issues discussed during the meeting were dilapidated condition of roads and link roads, damaged crops and cultivated land due to which the farmers are facing hardships.
They demanded to expedite the process of assessing the losses, so that due compensation will be sanctioned in favour of the families and farmers whose property, agricultural land and houses have been damaged in the heavy rains and floods.
While speaking, Dr Mustafa Kamaal said that he has sent detailed and comprehensive report to the Chief Minister in which all the facts have been brought to the notice of the Government. He assured them that their issues would be raised in the forthcoming Assembly session.
Among others present were Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, provincial secretary, Rampaul Ex-MLC, Laxmi Dutta, provincial president, Women Wing NC, Farooq Mughal, political advisor to Dr Mustafa Kamaal, etc.
