KATHUA, Mar 25: Hiranagar Police rescues 96 cattle including 75 Buffalos which were being smuggled from Jammu to Punjab.
The cattle were being carried on foot and after crossing Samba and Rajpora the Hiranagar Police party trapped the herd of cattle at Sherpur.
The smugglers however managed to escape giving police a slip. They left the herd of cattle behind.
The Police took the cattle into its custody and launched a man hunt to arrest the smugglers. The Hiranagar Police has also registered a case under Section 188 RPC.
