Hirdesh reviews progress on implementation of various schemes in Doda

DODA, Aug 6: Commissioner Secretary, Transport Department, Hirdesh Kumar, who is also in-charge Administrative Secretary for Doda district chaired a meeting with senior officers of district administration and reviewed the progress on implementation of various CSS in the district.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma; SSP Doda, ADDC Doda, GM DIC Doda, CEO BDA, SE PWD, SE JPDCL and other senior officers of various concerned departments.
While reviewing the progress achieved on implementation of JJM in district, the Commissioner Secretary impressed upon the officers to work in mission mode and ensure completion of all the approved schemes within set timelines so that the benefit of the scheme is percolated to the common people. He also highlighted that establishment of 75 Amrit Sarovars in each district under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a noble initiative for conservation of water resources and officers involved in the establishment of these Sarovars should maximize their efforts achieving the same.
The Commissioner Secretary reiterated that all the central individual and community welfare schemes can bring socio- economic development in the district only when implemented with wisdom and zeal. He stressed upon the authorities to focus on the timely completion of all the approved works under various schemes during the current working season.
During the meeting, the Commissioner Secretary was informed that under Jal Jeevan Mission 35143 households are targeted to be provided tap water connection by 185 approved schemes. It was also informed in the meeting that by the 15th of August at least 25 Amrit Sarovars shall be completed upto the extent of earth-work under MGNREGA.
Similarly the Commissioner Secretary was also apprised about the progress on implementation of various schemes like PMAY Grameen, PMAY-Urban, SBM- Grameen Phase II, PMGSY, Rural Electrification, Urban Electrification, Employment Generation Schemes, Social Security schemes, PM- AB-PM JAY-SEHAT Scheme, Pension/ Scholarship schemes, KCC besides progress on Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, Soil Health cards, among others was also discussed in detail during the meeting.
