HISI awards certificates to successful students

JAMMU, Feb 8: Healthy India Stronger India (HISI), an NGO which is running a ‘Free Training Centre’ for skill development of needy and poor children from BPL families, today organized a function to present certificates and diplomas to students who has completed their courses successfully.
Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu was chief guest on the occasion. He distributed the ‘Course Completion Diplomas’ and related course material to the students who have successfully completed the courses of this session.
In his address, he complemented the members of NGO for their hard work and selfless approach for upliftment of society and expressed his satisfaction on the conduct of activities by HISI. He requested the business community to come forward and support such initiatives to help needy people to earn their livelihood.
Earlier, Hira Lal Abrol, Chairman HISI, in his welcome address, presented a report of activities that are being conducted at the training center of the NGO. He shared that HISI provides free skills training to needy children, irrespective of their religion and caste. He advised the children and adults to stay away from drugs.
Music department of the training center mesmerized the audiences by their melodious presentation of ‘Holy Mantras, Healthy India Stronger India Anthem and Ragas’.
‘Free Training Centre’ of HISI offers 3 months, free courses in Basic Computers; Cutting & Tailoring classes; Beautician Course, Vocal Music, Dance as well as Free Library for the students. Nearly 1000 students have passed out after successful completion of courses from this center. They have been placed in various organizations and some of them have even started their own ventures.
