JAMMU, May 19: Chairman Healthy India Stronger India (HISI), Hira Lal Abrol, working to spread awareness about importance of education and skills for the youth organised a ‘Book Donation Camp’ at migrant camp, Jagti in Nagrota here today.
Free books, notebooks, stationery items and bags were distributed to a large gathering of students in the camp. The student and their parents expressed gratitude to the HISI Chairman H.L Abrol and thanked the visiting HISI team for extending their support for a noble cause.
A handout stated that HISI is running a free training centre for skill development to the needy and poor children from BPL families and offer them three month free courses in Basic Computers, Cutting & Tailoring, Beautician Course, Vocal Music, Dance and provide free library facility to the students.
Nearly 6,000 students have been passed out from the centre after successful completion of their courses and have been placed in various organizations while some of them have even started their own ventures and are earning a good livelihood for their families and are living a respectable life in the society.
