SAMBA, July 31: District Police Samba arrested a history sheeter who was absconding and evading his arrest from the last five years in a rape case registered against him at Police Station Samba.
Acting on reliable information, Samba police conducted raid at Arnia area of district Jammu and succeeded in apprehending the absconder namely Nazir Ahmed S/o Ibrahim Ahmed R/o Tanda, Supwal A/P Arnia from Nallah Aiek, Arnia, Jammu wanted in case FIR No. 195/2015 US 366/376/342/147 RPC registered at Police Station, Samba. The accused was at large and evading arrest after commission of crime. The arrest warrant of the said absconder under Section 512 Cr.PC has been issued by the Samba Court.
The accused is also a history sheeter and involved in theft & attempt to murder cases for which three cases were registered against him at PS Samba. The cases in which he is involved included , case FIR No. 234/2007 U/S 379 RPC, Case FIR No. 50/2015 U/S 307/147/148/149 RPC and Case FIR No. 05/2018 U/S 307/353/427/336/147/148/149 RPC. All the three cases are registered at PS Samba. Besides, a case FIR No. 53/2013 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act was also stands registered against him at PS Ghagwal.
