Hit & run case solved, accused arrested

JAMMU, Oct 3: Bahu Fort police solved hit and run case with the arrest of accused driver.
As per police sources, on September 26 this year, an information was received at Police Station Bahu Fort that one Creta bearing registration number JK02CN-5615 rashly driven by some unknown person hit a beggar.
Due to accident, beggar received serious injuries and was immediately shifted by locals to GMC where he succumbed to injuries.
On this information, a case under FIR Number 251/2020 under sections 279 and 337 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
After hectic efforts, CCTV footage and technical assistance, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania arrested the accused from RBI Quarters Trikuta Nagar.
The accused has been identified as Kapil Khanna, son of Nishant Khanna, a resident of House Number 232, Rehari Colony, Jammu. The vehicle involved in the accident was seized.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
