JAMMU, Mar 13: Channi Himmat Police solved a hit and run case within 24 hours with the arrest of the accused.
As per police sources, today morning information was received at Police Station Channi Himmat from reliable sources that an accident took place at NHW Sainik Colony Jammu between Magic auto bearing registration number JK02BP-4251 and motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BM-3662 in which motorcycle rider namely Ranjeet Singh got injured and shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment.
Acting over the information, a case under FIR Number 30/2021 under Section 279 and 337 IPC was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and hunt was launched to nab the accused auto driver who fled away from the spot.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Channi Himmat led by SHO Inspector Karan Chalotra after hectic efforts arrested the accused driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Mohammad Nishad Ali, son of Mohammad Sadiq of Khara Madana. On his disclosure, auto bearing registration number JK02BP-4251 was also recovered and seized.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
