JAMMU, Aug 6: Gangyal Police solved a hit and run case with the arrest of accused driver here.
As per police sources, a pedestrian namely Madan Lal of Pandori Brahmana, Bishnah, was hit by an unknown car coming from Kunjwani towards Satwari on August 4 this year.
“The pedestrian suffered injuries and was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu but he succumbed during the treatment,” sources informed.
Sources said that a case under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation initiated.
“During probe, a special team constituted to crack the case, collected the CCTV footage and found that one SUV bearing registration number JK21G-9510 had hit the deceased,” source said, adding that a police team led by PSI Sanjeev Sharma arrested the accused driver namely Tinku Kumar of Channi Kothey, Glarrian.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
