JAMMU, Jan 15: Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM) demanded implementation of court order in favour of Veena Devi whose land has been encroached by one Lal Din at Bishnah.
Addressing a press conference, president, Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM), Dr Rampal Sharma said that encroachments are on rise in the State and immediate steps are needed to tackle it.
He said that a poor lady Veena Devi was fighting for her land in Bishnah in the court against Lal Din and finally court delivered the verdict in favour of Veena Devi.
“Unfortunately the court order has not been implemented in favour of Veena Devi till today, due to the reasons best known to the concerned officials whom the court has directed to implement the order”, he added.
Dr Sharma said that for the past several years, Rohingyas, Bangladeshis and some other persons have indulged in grabbing the lands of the poor people and the administration is watching all this with open eyes, as same is the case with Veena Devi, whose land has been illegally encroached by Lal Din, who is also a Government employee.
He urged the administration especially SSP Jammu, Tejinder Singh to kindly intervene into the matter and get the court order implements in the shortest possible time, so as to provide some relief to the poor lady Veena Devi. He accused the Government of its failure in removing the encroachments made by Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. He said people at Ajit Colony are worst sufferers of land grabbing as the land grabbers have turned this colony developed by JDA into a slum.
During the press conference, Veena Devi along with her family members was also present.
