NEW DELHI, Oct 8:
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has given his nod to providing of three acres of land on lease to Kendriya Vidyalayas by Border Security Force (BSF) each at Sunderbani in Jammu and Kashmir, Chakur (Maharashtra) and Aradhpur (West Bengal).
The school in Sunderbani had started functioning four years back from October 16, 2010 upto class XIth whereas Chakur and Aradhpur schools are upto VIIIth standards.
“BSF had requested for the approval of this land by the Ministry of Home Affairs so that the Kendriya Vidyalayas running at the above three BSF locations as approved by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, can have its own school buildings,” a Home Ministry statement said.
Singh has approved the transfer of three acre on lease basis to each of the three Kendriya Vidyalayas so children of BSF personnel can get better facilities in their schools. (PTI)
