SRINAGAR, Mar 15: The Health & Medical Education (H&ME) Department has formed two selection committees for the one-time absorption of doctors by way of lateral entry into the newly established Government Medical College, Udhampur and Government Medical College, Handwara.
The committees will work for the selection of doctors from Government Medical Colleges of J&K including JVC SKIMS, Srinagar, who may apply for appointment as faculty members in the newly established Medical Colleges. H&ME has formed two committees, one for GMC, Udhampur and Handwara.
For the new Government Medical College, Udhampur, the committee will have the Administrative Secretary Health & Medical Education Department as Chairman, Principal, GMC, Jammu as Member, Principal, GMC, Udhampur as Member-Secretary, Administrator, Associated Hospitals, GMC Jammu as Member and External Subject Expert, which will be nominated by the H&ME on the recommendation of Member Secretary, as Member.
For the new Government Medical College, Handwara, the committee will have the Administrative Secretary Health & Medical Education Department as Chairman, Principal, GMC, Srinagar as Member, Principal, GMC, Handwara as Member-Secretary, Administrator, Associated Hospitals, GMC Srinagar as Member and External Subject Expert, to be nominated by H&ME as Member
H&ME has stated that the committees shall invite applications from the desirous doctors who meet the eligibility as per the relevant recruitment rules and the applications shall be accompanied by all the necessary documents in addition to the other documents as required.
The doctors intending to apply will have to produce NOC from the concerned HOD and concerned Principal, Government Medical College in respect of faculty members of these institutions seeking absorption by way of lateral entry in the Government Medical College, Udhampur/ Handwara.
They will also submit an affidavit from the 1st Class Magistrate to the effect that once appointed in the Government Medical College, Udhampur/ Handwara shall not claim transfer to the parent College, apart from the relevant experience certificate from Head of the Institution for the post for which application is being submitted.
