Srinagar, Apr 25: The Health & Medical Education (H&ME) Department has ordered the placement of several officials as In-Charge Assistant Commissioners and In-Charge Deputy Commissioners of Food Safety in the Drug & Food Control Organization, J&K until the vacancies are filled on a regular basis.
According to the directives issued, the arrangement made by the H&ME Department will remain in place for six months or until the vacancy is filled on a regular basis based on the recommendation of the DPC/PSC, whichever is earlier.
The officers will be placed in their own pay and grade on an officiating basis with immediate effect, along with charge allowance as admissible as per rules. The In-Charge Assistant Commissioners of Food Safety who have been placed as In-Charge Deputy Commissioners include Pankaj Soni and Tariq Ahmad Bhat.
Furthermore, concerning the placement of In-Charge Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety as In-Charge Deputy Commissioners, the officers who have been named include Ajay Khajuria, Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh, Rajesh Singh Jamwal, and Syed Nighat Hassan.
“The arrangement shall not confer any preferential right upon them for consideration of promotion… as and when the same is filled up on a regular basis under rules and shall be subject to the outcome of writ petition(s), if any, pending before the Court(s) of competent jurisdiction.”
Meanwhile, in another order, H&ME has sanctioned the mutual deputation of two officials, Junior Pharmacists, for a period of one year on the standard terms and conditions of deputation as per rules.
The officials include Suraj Prakash, presently Jr. Pharmacist at Sub-Center, Shahpur Block Bishnah, who has been deputed to Sub-Center, Ladhwal Block Hiranagar District Kathua, and Sushil Bharti, presently Jr. Pharmacist at Sub-Center, Ladhwal Block Hiranagar District Kathua, who has been deputed to Sub-Center, Shahpur Block Bishna.
