JAMMU, Apr 5: BJP today appealed its activists to hoist party flag on their rooftops on party’s Foundation Day falling on April 6.
Munish Sharma, State convenor of BJP Sthapna Diwas programmes for Jammu & Kashmir made this appeal to his party activists at a press conference here, today. He said the Foundation Day celebrations will be held from April 6 to April 12. He also asked them to involve prominent people of the society in celebration of party’s Sthapna Diwas.
Munish was accompanied by programme co-convenors, Veenu Khanna, secretary, J&K BJP, Brijeshwar Singh Rana, Prabhari, Akhnoor, and Reema Padha general secretary, BJP Mahila Morcha, in the press conference.
Sharma, asked them to involve their family members as well as the prominent members from the civil society in the Foundation Day celebrations.
He also prompted them to post their pictures on the social media apps with the hash-tag BJP4ViksitBharat.
Munish asked the party activists to illuminate all the party offices on the Foundation Day and hoist the party flag on the office rooftops also. He asked them to celebrate the occasion like a festival and distribute sweets among themselves to mark the occasion.
On April 7, he asked the party activists to organize booth level programmes involving all the primary members. He asked them to depute one senior leader to share the party history and the relevance of the party’s ideology in the contemporary world.
On 8th and 9th of April, he said that the Assembly or the Mandal level, grand programmes for the active members of the party will be organized, in which three senior activists of party will address on the important and relevant topics like history and development of the party, transformation under the Modi Government, and the Viksit Bharat journey of India under 11 years of Modi Government.
From 7th to 12th of April, he said that the party will undertake a Gaon/Basti Chalo Abhiyaan, in which senior leaders above the level of Sarpanch/Councillor, Mandal level activists will devote approximate ten hours in a day in the designated Gaon/Basti. They will ensure the nine designated tasks allotted by the party in their respective allotted areas.
Sharma asked the party activists to undertake various programmes like cleanliness drive in schools, colleges, hospitals, temples, water sources etc., conduct Basti Choupal and similar programmes.
