JAMMU, Dec 29: The 59th Annual General Body meeting of Home for the Aged and Infirm, Ambphala was held here today under the chairmanship of its president, I.D Soni.
During meeting, the annual report and audited accounts for the year 2023-24 and budget proposals for the year 2024-25 were presented by the secretary, Vijay Bhagotra and the same were accepted by the House.
A handout stated that a Day Care Senior Citizen Centre/ Club (Swabhiman Parisar) with all free facilities, amenities and medical care has been setup at the Home and the willing elders may get themselves registered to avail the facility for that during their leisure time.
I.D Soni, president of the Home appealed to the general public for liberal donations in cash and also in kind on regular basis for day-to-day needs of the inmates and for further improvement in their facilities and amenities.
He also appealed to the public at large to visit the Home at their convenience and interact with the inmates so that they do not feel neglected by the society for whose welfare they had also contributed during their past.
Secretary of the Home, Vijay Bhagotra conducted proceedings and urged the members to visit the Home from time to time and extend suggestions to the management for better functioning of the Home.
H.S Manhas, vice president, Vijay Gupta, joint secretary, members of managing committee—R.C Vaid, Pankaj Gupta and Sat Pal Sharma were also present in the meeting.
