Homeland with UT status only alternative: KKHMS

JAMMU, Nov 25: Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha ,(KKHMS), Kashmiri Khatri Yuvak Sabha (KKYS) and Displaced Kashmiri Unemployed Youth Union (DKUYU) today said there is no alternative except settling the displaced Hindus from Valley in the separate homeland with Union Territory status  which will guarantee a dignified life to them.
In a meeting at Jagti today held under the chairmanship of president, KKHMS Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan the members said only by settling the migrants in a separate homeland will ensure that there will be no exodus in future.
The meeting said the Government should take an initiative in this regard. The meeting said the Central as well as State Government should resettle the Kashmiri migrants by restoring their geo-political aspirations, also pay compensation for the losses suffered by the community and employment to one member in each family besides compensation to migrant traders.
It also demanded compensation to over-aged youth, reservation of 35000 jobs in Government departments for educated unemployed migrant youth and granting of minority status to the Kashmiri Hindus.
