BHADERWAH, Jan 12: Forest Department seized 12 horses along with illegal green firewoods.
As per official spokesperson, a team of forest officials from Bhaderwah Forest Division led by Forestor Majid sharief conducted raids and seized 12 horses along with illegal green firewood. All the horses and illegal green firewood have been seized and brought in the forest campus of Bhaderwah Forest Division.
A case under Section 6 of J&K Forest Act has been registered against the accused persons whose horses have been seized.
“Forest Department has started vigorous drive against timber smuggling and illicit firewood being brought from forest”, said DFO Bhadarwah T B Singh.
He further said that so far 15 horses have been seized involved in illegal activity by their owners and cognizance has been taken.
