SRINAGAR, July 13: The employees of Jammu and Kashmir Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation appealed Government to release their withheld salaries on Eid eve.
A delegation of the employees told Excelsior that their salaries have not been released since December last year.
“We are on the brink of bankruptcy. We are in very difficult situation. Our children are suffering as we are unable to pay their school fee,” the employees said. “We held several meetings with Government but to no avail,” they said. The corporation has 250 employees across the State.
“Now, the Eid is very days away and we appeal Government to release our salaries so that we can also celebrate our holy festival,” the horticulture employees added.
