Hoteliers resent diversion of traffic to by-pass

JAMMU, June 28: All Jammu Hotels & Lodges Association has expressed strong resentment against the decision of the local Administration to divert the vehicles of Shri Amarnathji pilgrims to by-pass Nagrota.
In a meeting of the Association, held here today under the chairmanship of its president, Inderjeet Khajuria the hoteliers said that heavy rush of Shri Amarnath pilgrims is being witnessed in Jammu. The annual pilgrimage boosts economy of the Jammu but it is unfortunate that authorities are robbing Jammu traders and hoteliers as the entire vehicles are being diverted to by-pass road from Kunjwani, denying them entry to Jammu city.
They pointed out that this practice be stopped as the business of hoteliers and other traders of the city is being affected. They urged the District administration to allow entry of pilgrims to the city so that hoteliers and traders could get benefit of the annual pilgrimage.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting included Ajay Gupta, B S Manhas, Pawan Gupta, Baldev, Sunil Suri and Vikramjeet Singh.
