SRINAGAR, Aug 14: Police today attached a two-storied house valued at over Rs 21 lakhs and seized a cash amount of Rs 69.20 lakh belonging to a drug smuggler in the Uri area of Baramulla.
“Baramulla Police led by SDPO Uri Shokat Ali under the overall supervision of Divya D, SP Headquarters Baramulla attached a double-storied house valued at approximately Rs 21.97 lakh and seized cash of Rs 69.20 lakh belonging to a drug smuggler namely Ghulam Rasool Sheikh son of Abdul Aziz Sheikh resident of Nambla Uri and others after completing all legal formalities,” police said.
“The attached house was linked to a case FIR Number 81/2023 under Section 8/21, 29 NDPS Act of Police Station Uri. The investigation proved that the immovable/movable property seized was raised from illicit trafficking by the drug smugglers,” police added.
