POONCH, Mar 29: Three cattle were charged to death when portion of a house and adjoining cattle shed were burnt in a fire incident at Mohalla Khori Nar in Poonch city this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that Kucha house of one Ahmed Din at Mohalla Khori Nar suddenly caught fire and it engulfed the adjoining cattle shed as well. The people in the neighbourhood rushed for rescue and started pouring water.
Later, two fire tenders were also pressed into service and firemen controlled the fire within short time. However, a buffalo and two calves were charred to death. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
