RAJOURI, Sept 21: A house was completely gutted in fire in Grag area of tehsil Koteranka, late last night.
According to the reports, at about 12: 30 am when all the family members were sleeping, a mysterious fire broke out into the house of Mohd Ashraf son of Munshi Khan, resident of Ward Number 4, Grag (tehsil Koteranka, sector Kandi).
Local inhabitants with the help of a police party from police station Kandi tried hard to control the fire but the house completely gutted in the fire along with household articles, livestock including one buffalo, one cow, one calf and six poultry birds. However, all the family members were saved well on time.
As per the preliminary enquiry by the police, short circuit may be the reason of the fire.
