RAJOURI, Dec 13: Property worth lakhs was destroyed after a house caught fire near Shahdara Shariaf in Thannamandi area last night.
A police spokesman said that house of one Said Mohd, son of Khan Mohd caught fire at around 10 pm when the family members were inside. They ran for safety and also managed to save their cattle. However, most of the house hold items could not be saved.
The locals informed Fire Service authorities and a fire tender arrived from Rajouri but the house had been destroyed completely by then. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
