House gutted at LoC village

POONCH, Jan 15: A Kucha house of a poor family was completely gutted at a village near the Line of Control in district Poonch this morning.
A police spokesman said that house of one Nizam Din, son of Wali Mohammed, resident of Degwar village near Poonch suddenly caught fire at around 10.30 am today. The family tried to take out its belongings but failed to do so. The villagers of the area also rushed there and tried to control the fire but in view of extensive use of timber in the house the fire spread into large flames.
Later, Fire tender from Poonch arrived there and Firemen launched operation but the house had already been engulfed in high flames. A buffalo was also charred to death in the blaze.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter. The cause of fire could not be known immediately. The police suspects short- circuit in the house the cause behind the fire incident.
