RAJOURI, Apr 29: A newly married housewife committed suicide by hanging herself at the house of her in-laws at village Morchala under the jurisdiction of Surankot Police Station.
The deceased has been identified as Pooja Devi (25), wife of Sanjeev Kumar of Morchala. She was found hanging from ceiling fan hook by the family members, this morning.
On being informed, a Police party from Surankot Police Station reached the spot and shifted the dead body to hospital for post-mortem and other legal formalities.
Even as Police has registered a case in this connection under Section 174 RPC, father of the deceased alleged that his daughter was murdered and was being harassed by her in-law.
