KATHUA, Dec 15: A housewife allegedly hanged herself to death in village Parthi, falling under the jurisdiction of Bani Police Station.
As per police sources, a lady identified as Darshana Devi (34), wife of Roshan Lal allegedly hanged herself to death in her residence at village Parthi.
Finding her hanging, family members informed the police.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and took the body into its custody.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body has been handed over to family members for last rites.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC has been initiated by Bani Police.
