Housing Board Daily Rated workers continue protest

JAMMU, Jan 16: Demanding their regularization, Daily Rated Workers of J&K Housing Board observed protest demonstration for the second consecutive day in front of the office of Managing Director J&K Housing Board at Gandhi Nagar.
During the demonstration, the protesting workers raised slogans in support of their demand for regularization and threatened to intensify their stir if Government does not pay heed to solve their problems.
While addressing the workers, general secretary of Housing Board Employees Association, Suman Sharma announced that their next course of action would be decided during the first week of February.
Leaders of different organization addressed the workers and extended their active support in fight for their regularization.
Those who addressed, included Ashok Singh, Sushil Sudan, Subash Verma, Pardeep Kumar, Swarn Singh, Maheshwar Prasad, Suresh Sharma, and others.
They hoped that Raman Bhalla, who has been now allotted the portfolio of Housing, would solve problems of the workers as early as possible.
