JAMMU, Mar 10: Jammu LPG Plant of HPCL today conducted “Mock Fire Drill”, based on Disaster Control Management Plan.
The drill was conducted at bullet area with team officials and workers fighting fire from all the corners with the help of state of art technology safety equipments and auto fire fighting system of the Plant.  Fire fighting teams were led by HPCL officers. J&K Fire Services men also contributed in the drill.
Hamid Bulbul – Acting Plant Manager HPCL Jammu, explained the importance of conducting the Mock Fire Drill, which equips the person with complete confidence fighting the actual fire. He also appreciated the participation of the Fire Service men helping out the fire fighting with the help of their Fire Tenders and emphasized the immediate response within first few minutes of Fire which was excellent in this Mock Drill. He said that apart from showing preparedness to meet any eventuality, such drills are also aimed at inviting valuable suggestions from the observers for further improvement.
Fire Drill was witnessed by officials from IOCL, M/s Emcure Pharmaceuticals, J&K Fire Services Deptt and other Mutual Aid Partners.
All the mutual aid partners appreciated the fire fighting practices and equipments of HPCL LPG Plant and said that mock exercises are necessary to keep the staff alert and Fire fighting machinery in working condition.
