HPM executive staff expresses concern over stagnation

JAMMU, Feb 4: The executive staff of J&K Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department has expressed concern over stagnation and appealed to the Horticulture Minister Syed Basharat Bukhari to submit a proposal before Chief Minister for promotion.
In a statement, the staff alleged that during last 40 years few retired and in service officers of the department had maneuvered the authorities and managed adhoc promotions in the department putting chances of career progression of other executive staff of the department in shambles.
They added that once again the department has undertaken an exercise for conducting DPC on pick and choose basis and in a hush manner. They have appealed to Syed Basharat Bukhari, Horticulture Minister and Mehbooba Mufti, Chief Minister to stop this exercise.
“In view of stagnation on one post since 20 to 30 years, we appeal the Horticulture Minister to submit a proposal before Chief Minister for accord of one time relaxation to all executive officers of the department”, they said.
