UDHAMPUR, Nov 27: Hari Prabhu Sanstha (HPS) in collaboration with KLSM Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital, Udhampur organized a free eye checkup camp at Hari Prabhu Ashray, Gujroo Nagrota in tehsil Ramkot.
The camp was organized under Rotary’s initiative for prevention of blindness and to provide gift of sight to poor and needy patients suffering from cataract blinders. During the camp, about 85 patients hailing from far flung areas of tehsil Billawar and Ramkot were examined by a team of doctors from Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital led by Dr Ankur Goel.
Out of 85 patients, 16 were screened for implantation of IOL and they will be operated free of cost by Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital, Udhampur. Free transplantation for the patients will be provided by Sanstha. During the camp, free medicines and Eye Broses were provided to the needy patients by the Sanstha.
