JAMMU, May 17: Personal Staff Association of J&K High Court today requested the Chief Justice to consider the genuine demands of the staff.
In a statement, the Association alleged that personal staff was being discriminated by the High Court authorities as they are only projecting the cases of Judicial Officers.
In the month of August, 2013 the members of the Association had decided to go on mass casual leave but on the assurance of Chief Justice that the genuine demands of the Association would be considered in the shortest possible time, the mass casual leave was deferred.
“But till today nothing has been done in this regard more particularly the amendment of 1968 Rules governing the High Court Staff Service Conditions; creating some promotional avenues for the officers working in the capacity as Joint Registrars/Secretaries/Bench Secretaries”, the Association said and requested Chief Justice to consider the genuine demands of the High Court staff.
