HRANI’s conclave on Hospitality & Tourism to be held at Katra

KATRA, Mar 25: Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI), in association with Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra (HRAK) & Federation of Hotels, Restaurants, Industries & Commerce of Jammu Region (FHRICJR) is going to organise a conclave on the theme `Hospitality and Tourism – 2022 and Beyond’ on March 26, 2022.
This conclave at The White Hotel Katra is likely to be attended by Thakur Ranjan Parkash, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries & Commerce J&K; Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary, Tourism, Govt of J&K; Ramesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra; Vivekanand Rai, Director Tourism, Jammu; Anoo Malhotra, Director Industries & Commerce, Jammu; Babila Rakwal, Deputy Commissioner, Reasi; President/Board of Directors of HRANI besides major stake holders connected with Tourism & Industry.
This was informed by HRAK & FHRICJR’s President Rakesh Wazir, while addressing a press conference here today in the presence of HRANI’s Honorary Secretary Amarvir Singh; Honorary Joint Secretary Ratandeep Anand, Secretary General Renu Thapliyal and President Katra Chamber of Commerce Virender Kesar, Managing Committee members of HRANI Arun Dang & Pardeep Narayan Singh.
Amarvir Singh, while speaking on the occasion, said that these types of conclaves are planned and organised by HRANI in all ten States of North India on rotation basis. This conclave will feature sessions on measures and steps which are required to be taken to promote the tourism in the Union Territory besides highlighting the FSSAI initiatives on Hygiene Rating and presentations by eminent speakers followed by question and answer sessions, he added.
Rakesh Wazir & Ratandeep Anand said that besides different sessions, Managing Committee meeting of HRANI will also be held on March 26, 2022 which will emphasise on the Agenda including strengthening connectivity by Ropeways, Surface, Rail and Air, Tourism and Entertainment Zones, Developing new destinations under Public Private Partnership (PPP) Model, Promotion and marketing of new destinations, a separate TZAC Committee (Tourism Zone Advisory Committee) for developing the destination, product and marketing strategies for the proposed Tourism zones.
Mr Kesar & Renu said that keeping in view the high inflow of tourists visiting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, more Entertainment Parks, Tourism Zones and facilities are required to be developed so that the stay of tourists be extended resulting into increase in business.
