Human interference in Raika forest last nail in coffin: Ex-MP

JAMMU, June 26: Former Member Parliament (Ex-MP) and chairman, DSSP, Ch Lal Singh today said that human interface in Raika forest is the last nail in the coffin.
The Ex-MP was addressing a public meeting in village Barnoti of Jasrota constituency in which people from all walks of life participated including Panchs, Sarpanchs and prominent members of the civil society.
Ch. Lal Singh expressed serious concern on the immature and disastrous decision of the Government to shift High Court in the Raika Forest, which is the only green patch left to provide fresh air to the entire people of Jammu. The Government has no genuine reason to do this as the present court complex has ample space and sufficient infrastructure to cater the needs of all courts . How public exchequer can be wasted on the whimsical decision of few bureaucrats and their blue-eyed contractors, questioned former MP.
he former Forest Minister said that it is the high time when people must exercise their wisdom and wipe out all those forces which are detrimental for the overall progress of Jammu and its people.
Lal Singh appealed to all the rank and file of the party to intensify the campaign of Jammu as separate state with article 371 to protect the land and jobs and even the Dogra culture for our posterity. He exposed the government in its failure to accommodate students for college admission and biggest ever failure in conducting the CUET which caused a serious sense of insecurity among students and caused depression to many because of its mismanagement.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting included – Kanta Andotra Ex.MLA, Dr Hari Dutt Shishu general secretary, Advocate BS Jamwal, Dr HR Sharma, Suman Wazir, Rajinder Singh Bubby, President Municipal Council Kathua, Vijyant Pathania and others.
