JAMMU, May 30: Prominent social and political activist, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi has been awarded the Human Rights Nobel Award (HRNA) by Global Human Rights Trust as the ‘Most Inspiring Woman of the Year 2021’.
Dr Darakhshan is the Chairperson, Central Waqf Development Committee of Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt of India. She is a dynamic and most inspiring woman from Jammu and Kashmir, whose social contribution is acclaimed at national level.
She is being honored for her immense contribution to society. Her initiatives for sponsoring education for children of deprived families, awareness regarding environmental issues, sponsoring drug de-addiction camps, and campaign against corruption and her exceptional voluntary services amid times of crisis are an inspiration to one and all. Her campaigns for restoration of peace and brotherhood between different communities, regions and ethnicities in Jammu & Kashmir are praiseworthy.
