JAMMU, Feb 4: In different programmes held in Kathua, Mahanpur and Samba areas of Jammu region under the leadership of BJP Minority Morcha president Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, senior leader Balwant Mankotia and Mahila Morcha general secretary Neha Mahajan, hundreds of people joined the saffron party and vowed to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Welcoming the new entrants of the Party, Mankotia spoke on the policies and programmes of the PM Modi-led Central Government. “All these programmes have been designed for the welfare of people,” he said.
Nalwa spoke at length about the ‘Antyodaya Anna Yojana’ launched by the Central Government to provide food subsidies for poor people. “For this welfare scheme, the Government has targeted the public below the poverty line, intending to eliminate their hunger by providing them with highly subsidized food,” he said.
“Through ‘Antyodaya Anna Yojana’, the Government provides poor families with an opportunity to purchase up to 35 kg of wheat and rice at a highly subsidized cost,” Nalwa said and added that this advantageous scheme covers the poorest of the low-income families within the states and UTs of India. He said BJP’s philosophy is aimed at the development of last man in the queue, invoking Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
“When politicians are involved in the making of products from a needle to an aeroplane, it becomes imperative upon them to follow the principle of integral humanism,” Nalwa said. BJP is the only party which has been made to serve people unlike other parties which focus only on grabbing power to rule, he asserted.
The joining programmes were also attended by ex-deputy mayor Balwant Singh Billawaria, BJP’s Kathua district president Gopal Krishan, Pahari Zila Basohli president Swaran Singh and prabhari Jung Bir Singh Cheeku.
