Hundreds of people throng Shiv Shakti Mandir on annual hawan

JAMMU, Feb 19: Hundreds of people from all walks of life thronged Shiv Shakti Mandir on the 17th annual hawan, which was performed on the auspicious occasion of ‘Magh Purnima’ in Mandir Complex at Sector-1, Pamposh Colony, Janipur, here today.
The function was organized by Shiv Shakti Mandir Sanastha under the supervision of President JL Bamzai and Vedic Guru Jai Krishen Khar, General Secretary for the betterment of the Hindu community, world peace and life long members of the Sanstha.
The programme commenced with Kalash Pooja yesterday, which was followed by Mahayagya, puran ahuti and satsang by devotees.
A large number of people from different walks of life participated in the function and seek blessings of the Lord Shiva and Mahmaya Jagat Amba.
While speaking on the occasion, JL Bamzai, President of Shiv Shakti Mandir Sanstha and Vedic Guru JK Khar, General Secretary asked the devotees to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood as this is the key for the development of country in general and State in particular.
“Jammu and Kashmir is the State of saints and the bonds of amity has given it a distinct identity which needs to be promoted and maintained at all costs”, they said while commenting on the prevailing situation in Jammu and appealed to the youth to stand together and defeat the nefarious designs of the trouble mongers who are trying to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the State.
“We all are proud to be citizens of the largest and vibrant democracy of the world and whosoever will try to create problem for the nation will be dealt with iron hands”, they stated.
Later, a bhadara was organized for the devotees residing in Janipur and surrounding areas.
Surinder Sharma, Corporator, Ward Number 38, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Captain (Retd) ML Bhat, Vice President, Bal Je Maju, Cashier-cum-Accountant, IP Ganjoo, Anil Shashoo, R Megi, Ex-Vice President, Chander Chawla, AK Sapru, Ex President, KL Wali, SK Tikoo, ON Raina and many others were present on the occasion.
