Hurriyat delegation leaves for Pak

SRINAGAR, Dec 12: A seven member delegation of moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz Omar Farooq today left New Delhi this afternoon for over a weeklong visit to Pakistan.
The Hurriyat delegation comprising Moulana Abbas Ansari, Professor Abdul Gani, Bilal Lone, Aga Syed Hassan Mosvi, Musadiq Aadil and Mukhtar Waza left for New Delhi this afternoon.
The delegation was scheduled to leave for New Delhi on Friday but left for Delhi ahead of schedule due to weather advisory which forecasts snowfall in Kashmir.
The delegation would be traveling to Pakistan this week end for a week during visit. The delegation will hold talks with Pakistan Prime Minister Raja Parvaiz Ashraf, Foreign Minister Hina Rabani Khar, Mian Manzoor Watoo, Mian Nawaz Shareef, Imran Khan and several other leaders.
The hardline faction of Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani refused to visit Pakistan and described the visit as futile exercise.
