Husband allowed, wife stopped

JAMMU, June 28: The yatris who were subjected to police lathi-charge at the Base camp of Nunwan -Pahalgam today while narrating the tale of their woes said total chaos and confusion prevailed at the Base camp and there is such a maladministration that the authorities asked a husband of one pilgrim to leave for holy cave while his wife was stopped at Base Camp on the pretext that she has the registration for a separate date.
Kuldeep Singh, a pilgrim from Delhi while showing his boarding pass to reporters at Pahalgam today, said that he had come along with his wife to pay obeisance at holy cave but the irony is that he was allowed to proceed while his wife was stopped just because she has been given permission to visit the cave shrine on a different date. “How can my wife go alone leaving her husband behind,’’ he asked and blamed the SASB for all this mess.
The protestors alleged that same members of the different families have been given different dates to proceed for the holy cave which has created lot of problem for them.
