POONCH, May 2: A young worker of Parnai Hydel project was injured after a gas cylinder exploded at the project site at Daraba today.
Official sources identified the victim as Abdul Rashid (32), son of Saifuddin, resident of Ramban. He was at project work site and suffered injuries while a gas cylinder being used by him got exploded.
He was rushed to Sub District Hospital, Surankote where BMO, Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan referred him to SKIMS, Soura in Srinagar for the specialised treatment. He had suffered about 60 % burn injuries. The police has taken cognizance of the matter. It has started investigation into the matter.
