RAJOURI, May 11: Two Forest officials including Incharge Range Officer of Social Forestry Division, Rajouri have been placed under suspension for alleged malpractices and misconduct.
Official sources said that Mohd Iqbal (Deputy Forester), the then Incharge Range Officer, Rajouri, holding additional charge of the Lamberi Range and presently posted in the office of Regional Director, Social Forestry, Jammu and Ramesh Kumar Zutshi, Field Supervisor, presently looking after the charge of Social Forestry Blocks- Sunderbani and Kalakote, falling in Lamberi Range, have been placed under suspension by the Additional Chief Secretary, Forests, Dheeraj Gupta.
They both have been attached to the Administrative Department in Civil Secretariat till further orders.
Meanwhile, Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu, K. Ramesh Kumar has been directed to hold inquiry into the matter and submit report to the Government within 15 days.
