Beerwah, Aug 3: National Conference Working President and MLA Beerwah, Omar Abdullah today conducted a tour of Beerwah constituency and held workers’ meetings at Shunglipora, Sugain and Khag.
The NC Working President said as the local MLA for Beerwah, he would fight for the rights of Beerwah and would not allow the Government to ignore the constituency.
Braving inclement weather and heavy rains, people came out in large numbers at various venues to welcome Omar Abdullah and held detailed interactions with him and briefed him about the progress of various works in their respective areas. Public delegations also apprised him about grievances and issues which were duly noted and slated for redressal with various Government departments by the NC Working President.
The NC Working President demanded that the Khag-Toisamaidaan road should be taken up for upgradation as this road was crucial for tourism prospects in the areas. He also demanded the upgradation of Primary Health Center (PHC) Khag to Sub-District Hospita (SDH) as this would cater to the needs of the people in Khag who had to commute for basic health procedures and ailments.
“I am not a weak MLA, nor will I remain a mute spectator while the State Government dispenses governance selectively depending on its partisan interests. I will fight for your rights and will not allow the Government to deprive you of what is your due”, the NC Working President said while speaking during workers meetings.
