‘Fielding common candidate from Kargil a game plan of ‘INDI Alliance’

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency, Tashi Gyalson is not a novice to politics. Forty nine year old Gyalson is an advocate by profession who is Chairman-cum-CEC of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh since 2020.
Gyalson who started his political career from 1996 as a Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activist was later made its Executive Member by the party on basis of his dedication towards the organisation.
Gyalson who boasts of his performance as CEC Leh exuded confidence that people of Ladakh region will support and cast their vote in his favour. People irrespective of their religious affiliation will vote for BJP in Ladakh in view of tremendous development done in the region by the Modi Government coupled with my sincere efforts to implement all Government schemes on ground, he added.” Our party is seeking vote for the tremendous development done by the Modi Government in this backward and hilly region which was neglected by the previous Governments for seven decades”.

Gyalson who has high claims on the developmental front as CEC Leh said if elected he will strive hard for finding an amicable solution on four point agenda of Leh Apex Body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA). Admitting that issues raised by LAB and KDA are genuine, he said they reflect the aspirations of people of Ladakh UT. He ruled out that LAB and KDA were working on behalf of any political party. This issue will be settled through dialogue between representatives of Government and LAB and KDA and his priority will be to work as a bridge between the Government and Ladakh bodies.
He said the dialogue process has derailed and his endeavor will be to restart it because it is the only way to settle the issue. “Unless you start dialogue sincerely the resolution of issues can’t be found”, he added.
He said earlier dialogue was held on four point agenda thrice but no amicable solution was reached and his priority will be to resettle this issue in the larger interests of the nation and people of Ladakh.
Maintaining that BJP will emerge victorious in Ladakh, he said fielding a common candidate from Kargil will make no difference for BJP. ” People of Ladakh are with BJP as they love Modi as he is the first Prime Minister who took initiative for rapid development of Ladakh. Fielding a common candidate from Kargil is the game plan of INDI Alliance. The Congress candidate from Leh is a proxy candidate. The National Conference(NC) leaders from Kargil who enmass resigned from the party in support of a joint candidate have taken the Leh Congress on board. “This is a game plan of INDA bloc to divide the vote. This way they are hoodwinking the people. If NC is part of INDIA bloc how its Kargil unit defied the party. Does not NC leadership know it”? he asked.
Gyalson also accused KDA of never being serious in supporting LAB. ” We are with Apex Body and will work for resolution of the issue”, he added.
BJP candidate said “People of Leh as well as Kargil are with me. They have for the first time been given the Ayushman Card by any Government for free treatment up to Rs five lakh, houses to homeless while farmers were given Rs 6000 per year which no earlier Governments did”.
Unfolding his future plans, BJP candidate who is Councilor from Lingwhed, said he will work for making Ladakh a model UT in accordance to PM’s vision and strive to uplift the socio – economic status of people.He said there has been all round development in Ladakh region. The last village of Dentdeh on China border has a mobile tower, double road, tap water to every household under ‘Har Ghar Jal, Har Ghar Nal Yojana’. Solar lights are given to every house in this remote border village which remained neglected for seven decades. He said a drastic change took place in Ladakh during Modi rule. Tourism got a tremendous boost during the Modi Government and living conditions of people improved, he added.
He said it was for the first time since independence that migration from border villages to Leh was stopped as the present Government made all basic amenities available to people in the remote and border areas. He said people of Kargil trust Modi for unprecedented development done in the region by his Government. “I have faith and trust that they will enmass vote for BJP”; he added.
Gyalson riding on the party’s development agenda and his performance as CEC since 2020 said people trust Modi as the entire nation is fast marching ahead and the people of Ladakh can’t lag behind. They have to become part of Modi’s development agenda, he added
In response to a question about China’s reported intrusion in Ladakh, Gyalson said it is a strategic issue. However, whenever China tried to violate borders the Indian Army gave them a befitting reply as the Modi Government has changed its strategy of dealing with hostile countries.
