IAF chief releases book on Maintenance Command

NAGPUR, Dec 6:  Outgoing Indian Air Force chief N A K Browne today released a coffee table book which highlights the mission, role and achievements of the city-headquartered based Maintenance Command of IAF and stations under it.

The Air Chief Marshal accompanied by his wife Kiran arrived here on an official and farewell visit to Maintenance Command HQ. The Chief of Air Staff is retiring on December 31 after more than four decades of commendable service.

He later interacted with senior officers and personnel of the command and unveiled the book at a function in Vayusena Nagar, an official release said here.

The book is a pictorial marvel depicting the welfare and social responsibility ventures undertaken by the command, which handles the repair, overhaul and maintenance of all aircraft, helicopters and other equipment of IAF.

The book contains creative and innovative features of “cohesion between men and machine” driving home the massage that connectedness between the two results in mission accomplishment, the release added. (PTI)
