IAFA nominates OP Sharma as advisor for Centenary Celebrations

JAMMU, Dec 25: Indian Academy of Fine Arts (IAFA), Amritsar, has nominated O P Sharma, the Founder Director, Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu as Advisor for the Centenary Celebrations which is gone to be held in Amritsar (Punjab).
O P Sharma, the Founder Director of JKCCA is a renowned artist and photographer. He has been active in promoting art & culture for the last 40 years and has participated in many national and international art exhibitions, art camps and seminars.
He has been awarded at state and national level by many organizations of the country and has a vast experience in the field of visual arts.
Sharma has worked as Exhibition Officer and Special Officer, Grade- 1 in J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and has curated a large number of state, national and international art exhibitions and camps throughout the country.
He has been jury for many national level art exhibitions. Under his Directorship JKCCA has so far organized hundreds of such activities within and outside the state art exhibitions, cultural events, seminars, music concerts, national art camps, book release functions, felicitation events of artists and writers, talent hunt events, demonstration programmes of art forms in and outside the state.
IAFA was established in 1928, and is affiliated with National Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. The foundation stone of the main building of the Academy was laid down by Dr. Rajender Prasad, the first President of India on 13th April, 1961.
